Some ornaments on a fake tree! Artie III was brought out of summer hibernation tonight and was our first Christmas decoration to go up! Morgan was beside herself. We put on Christmas carols then watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer while we tried to assemble the tree. I think the best part of the night was after the tree was lit Morgan ran to the overhead light switch, flipped off all the lights and stood there clapping her little heart out at the lit tree. She didn't say a word, just clapped and clapped. The pure joy of Christmas in a child will lift even the heaviest spirits. By the end of the tree decorating we were all so tired that nothing else got up tonight, but I hope to have everything out tomorrow.

Helping take the tree out of the box

Writing our directions for decorating....she had a PLAN and we were required to stick with it! Remind you of anyone?

Plugging in the lights and leveling the tree

Something is conspicuously wrong with this tree...

Ahhhh, that's better (25 minutes later)

This child LOVES to decorate the Christmas tree! (and I love how you can see the reflection of the tree in our bay window behind her)

Morgan's ornament arrangement. Don't tell her, but I spread them out over the tree after she went to sleep! :)
