Today I left my 20s behind and headed into a new decade. A lot of people asked how I feel to be 30. I can honestly say no different than yesterday! I am excited to be starting a new chapter of life with this birthday. I guess I am now officially an adult.
Some of my very sweet friends and co-workers threw me a surprise birthday brunch at work (not pictured are Jim and Lori, James' parents). There were tons of goodies to eat, a homemade birthday cake, and some delicious punch. It was so nice of them to remember my birthday. When I got to work this morning my office had been decorated with balloons, streamers, and a happy birthday sign.
With the delicious goodies I got a bag of candy (MY FAVORITE!!!) and a beautiful crown that will probably become Morgan's as soon as she sees it :) We're heading out for birthday lunch and this evening I will spend with my two favorite people, Patrick and Morgan. I am sure we will go out to eat tonight too. A girl shouldn't have to do dishes on her birthday (at least that's what I think!). Patrick is buying me a new digital camera for my birthday, and I am really excited about it!!
Thank you to all who have sent good wishes. It has been a fantastic day so far, and I know the rest of the day will be great as well!
